Moving Day

For the past two days my life has been turned upside down with packing some of my worldly treasures into a Budget rental truck. My husband and brother-in-law are now driving that truck across this great country from AZ to GA.  I forgot to get a ton of pictures to highlight this event but I did get a few. : ) Notice the weather in the pictures.  All pictures were taken yesterday.  We have had some crazy weather this week!

Gracie, our cat is checking the situation out.

Supervising is such a hard job.  Never fear, a Shih-tzu is the worlds best at this job!

The best way to load the "other woman" aka husbands Harley-Davidson, was to put the ramp on an area where that woman could be driven straight into the truck.
My husband, in the black, showed her so much love....kinda disturbing if you ask me!  But at least she is out of my life for 2 months.  We will meet up with her at the end of June.  Can't wait for that reunion!!!

And finally, below, is what was happening when they pulled out this morning on their cross country trip.  Amazing, considering that we live in SE AZ.  The place where thousands of people migrate to every winter to get away from this kind of weather. : )

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  I'll be spending mine preparing for the next move.  Thank goodness that one will be preformed by professional movers.  : )

Oh Ann, are you friggin' kidding me with that weather?! It is usually so perfect in April. Sigh. Well, you're now officially headed East. I bet you cannot wait, but I'm sure you will miss some aspects of life in the Mild, Mild west, too! Off to the car wash, it rained all through our drive back from KW and the car looks like it has been four wheeling. xoxo

My heart goes out to you. I moved a little over a year ago and I'm still not over it -- I have unpacked all the dishes and glassware, but it has taken a year! Good luck.

Well, I hope the guys get there safely and all goes well. I am sure the harley was the most important thing to be loaded on the truck!
And now you can get ready for the rest, which will be here sooner than you think!

Ann, thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. Thanks a great idea about the little dish, I'll have to try that anyway. Looks like your are in an upheaval. We have been the same home for 30 years and just keep adding on and improving. In this economy, since were retired I think we are cemented here, which is OK. Hope your move goes smoothly. Glad to have made a new friend.

Ann - I can't believe that Ron's mistress went away like that!!! John had to explain to me where the truck was. . .good thinking! Enjoy the time without her - I'm telling you the last 9 months without John's mistress have been nice!!! Great pics of the snow, too! Can't believe it!!!

I had no idea you felt this way about the bike. My co-driver and I are two days into the trip and already have 1500 miles behind us. We should get into GA tomorrow and I should be able to take my mistress out for a HARD ride.

I believe moving to be one of the most stressful of life's events. I think, in general, men can handle it much better than we women can. After all, they aren't the nest builders.

I'm glad you're joining the giveaway at the cottage. Keep checking in for the pics of the giveaway goodies.

Hope all goes well with your move!
