It Is Done...

At least for now the months of organizing, cleaning and packing are done.  Done until we have to unpack it all in 11 days. : (  When I was a young girl moving was always fun.  But my mom did all the work and my sister and I just enjoyed the adventure.  When I married my hubby and we started making our military moves it was still an adventure, always exciting anticipating the next assignment and location. We were young and I hadn't began my collecting of treasures.  Fast forward many years and now I am here to tell the world this moving business is no longer fun!  I have packed and unpacked so many times and am just plain tired....tired of the endless boxes that seem to reproduce when they are being unpacked and tired of the mounds and mounds of packing paper.

Here are a few pictures of the final pack-out day.

Big truck with 53 feet of packing space.  Hmm....let's see if I can fill it up.....

Early in the morning with just a handful of boxes....

Once again I have won the sad, sad game of filling up an empty truck!

Have a great weekend.  It will certainly be a relaxing one for me!

I feel your pain. I have moved many many times. Part of that was military moves. After that, habit? We haven't moved in four years. But here we go again and I am hating it! I used to kind of enjoy it a new start. But this time, with work and LIFE....It is exhausting a little depressing. Your life in boxes, you know? Well your almost there!! Think how fun it will be to decorate your new place!

Aaaw, honey, I really do know where you are coming from... and I am tired, too. After you rest, you will feel better and in a few quick days you will have that "I miss my stuff, and somehow unpacking feels like Christmas" feeling. Take it easy and savor the "no-responsibilities" life of Utah House. Well deserved. xoxo

I am glad you finished the packing. But, did it ALL fit? I hope you don't have to pack too much into your vehicles.
Do you have a plan for your stuff when you get there, like where things go in the house?
Enjoy your last few days here, before you get socked with the humidity on the east coast!!!!
