I'm on my way back...

Well, sort of!!  We have been unpacking our worldly treasures for one week today.  Every bed in the house now has sheets(with the exception of the guest bed but since we certainly are not having sleepover guests for a while I gave up looking for that box!), all the pots and pans and plates are squeezed into their new cabinets, and as of late last night we can not only see the couch but we can sit down on it.

Just a few pictures of the devestation/unpacking so everyone can truly understand...

Do you see the couch in this picture?  It's there under that big pile of pillows and stuff!

But now on to the good stuff.  I was able to decorate the kitchen hutch and I love it!

This small section in our house makes me so happy when I pass it.  As a matter of fact, it is an inspiration to me.  When I get tired of unpacking and decorating I look at this wall of cheeriness and somewhere deep  I can find the strength to continue.  I want my house to be complete.  I know it takes time but I am an impatient gal.

Oh, so much red in this post, I am going to link up to Sue's blog, It's A Very Cherry World for Rednesday.  Something that I haven't done in at least a month since all this packing and moving started.  Head on over to Sue's blog to check out other happy and cheery reds.

I hope today is a great day for you wherever you are in this big ole' world!
Fondly,
Ann

Hi Ann! Love that kitchen hutch, especially with the RED! I'm glad to see your post and see that you are getting settled in to the new house. Welcome Home!
(Looking forward to more pics of the new house, too.)

I don't envy your job right now :-). You still have lots to do, but I can see that your home will be just beautiful when it's done.

Boxes and all, your house looks like it is just lovely! You have "my" colors abounding there. Love the hutch - it does make you feel good to have even one finished spot, doesn't it.

Your hutch is great. I love the colors and the roosters and rolling pins. Great contrast with the black hutch.

Can't wait now to see the rest of your house as you unpack and decorate..That means, of course, that I will be your newest follower! :)

We have lived in our house for 35 years and have so dang much stuff..if we had to move, I'd hang myself!! lol

Thanks for stopping by.

Ann, you will get there. Just be sure to take a break every now and then to enjoy what you have done! Moving across country is no small feat and you did it! There will be a space for everything, I know you will find it!!!
The hutch looks great and I love your kitchen!

Great pics and lovely hutch. Glad it serves as inspiration to you. Moving and unpacking is the most dreaded task of all for me. Hang in there!

It makes me happy to see that you've got your priorities straight! Unpack the essentials, and then decorate! I did the same thing when we moved in here. I unpacked the kitchen stuff, and then started decorating right away. That hutch must make you so happy to look at it! You did such a great job displaying everything, and I love that coolor, or kooler, on the floor the most!
Happy REDnesday and Happy 4th!

Hi Ann,
I don't mean to laugh at your pain, with all those boxes and THINGS piled all around -- but I am laughing anyway. We did this 2 years ago. It does get done -- but OY what a pain!

Love the kitchen hutch; it looks so "artsy" and well thought out. So pretty!

ps my folks had one of those Scotch Koolers! Memories...

I love that black hutch and your red treasures look great in there. I'm with you when I am doing a huge task I always complete one portion for inspiration and then glance at it when I need a kick in the pants. Enjoy your new home.

I like your hutch too! It's so cheery and I can't wait to see how everything looks altogether. Sure is a different house than the last one. Well I must go now to go stare at your pictures some more for inspiration.

Ugh.... moving. I hope I do not have to do this again for a long time. You on the other hand have made so much progress.
I love your "Rednesday " post. And thank you for comenting on mine. I will be looking for my rolling pins TODAY. I still have mine packed up from our last move.

I do have a question since I am new to blogging. How do I get the rednesday link to my blog?
