Don't know why?
Just the way it is...
Can't seem to be able to wrap my brain around that area of the bathroom!
After living here 8 1/2 months, yesterday I decided it was time to make some sort of decorating decision for our guest bathroom.
The area is long and narrow.
And, I'll just say it now, does not photograph well. Nope it just isn't the photographer. :o)
This is what I did....
I purchased the flower arrangement from a dealer at an antique mall. It certainly isn't an antique but that is where this lovely arrangement was living. The flowers are actually mounted on the top of a candle holder. Kinda thinkin' out of the box on that one, I like it!
I sat the arrangement, candle holder and all, inside of a vintage purse, and on top of a vintage Italian tray.
Just for kicks(and because I am still trying to desperately unpack boxes) I decided to add my Rainbow Houses to the window sill. My sister gave me this wonderful collection depicting Charleston homes about 20 years ago.
Yuck, gotta find a better looking shower curtain, one with more color.
Lastly, where do you store your extra toilet paper?
In this particular bathroom, I decided to store it right there next to the toilet.
I found these two baskets at a local thrift store. I think they are cemetery baskets.
As you can tell, the small one is still without a purpose.
I should probably use it in another room.
But for what??
I'm at a loss.
Can anyone out there help a sweet lookin', older basket with an odd shape find a new purpose in life?
She thanks you for any and all suggestions. :o)
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Fondly,
Ann

That basket is very interesting, I think dried lavender would look lovely in it!
Yes, the back of the toilet is challenging, yours looks great! I have a little vintage cherub toilet paper cover that hides one roll. A little soap dish that I have potpourri and a cherub on the back of mine. I have a towel rail above it with towels hanging and a cherub picture above that. It is a tricky space!
I love this unique idea in the bathroom. I'm on the lookout right now for creative ideas on improving my mom cave and this is bookmarked for future reference.

Absolutely adorable! I'm a sucker for black and white anyway. Your basket is cute. Not sure what to do with it...but definitely cute.
