I WON IT!!!
Pictures will come tomorrow of my latest treasure and much welcomed addition to our home!!! It has been a long day. I was at the auction for 7 hours and then went straight to my youngest sons baseball game which was 2 hours and then to dinner. I am finally back home, exhausted but jubilant!! I've a glass of reisling and am headed to a hot bath. But for now I just want you all to know that I WON the Barrister Bookcase. This piece of furniture has been a desire of mine for 16 years. Brace yourselves, hold on to your computer....I was willing to pay up to $350.00. I paid $40.00!!!!! Shoot, dinner cost more than that. : )

Oh my goodness gracious. Yahooo!!!!! I can't believe for 40 dollars and you were willing to pay 350. I can't wait for the pics...Was going to say have a great day, but hey,,,you already are. Blessings Ann!
Sorry for not checking in as often this week. Internet was installed Fri. Furniture's been in for three days (feels like a month). Things are functional, yet LOADS left to do. Darling "Handyman" pulled his back this morning while installing curtain rods. ((Sigh!)) Of course he invited some folks to come for dinner tonight to try out our new grill AND we're hosting his birthday dinner here on Thurs. Oh well, things just won't be as far along as I'd hoped before company arrives. Ann, do you have an index/archives for TTT? I have wanted to look back at a couple of things, but now that the blog is lengthening it is hard to skim back through to find want to see. Well, back to work. Looking forward to the pics of your new coup! xoxo
Wow-sounds like a great day. $40? You are kidding. I haven't been to an auction in ..well since I was a kid. Good for you. Can't wait to see pictures. It sure feels good when you can cross that off your list and get such a good deal on top of that.
Congratulations! I was thinking about your at the auction after your post yesterday. Can't wait to see the photos. $40.00!!!! I'd say that was worth a day.
